DOWNLOADING
TIPS FOR .EXE PROGRAMS
Introduction
to .exe programs
The
vast majority of downloadable products are in .exe format. Every person using
Windows 95/98/2000 can download, and read .exe programs. MAC users are NOT able
to use .exe programs.
If
you are using a MAC computer, you must return to the main page, and read the instructions
for the .PDF format.
Downloading
.exe programs to your computer:
It's
very easy to download, and open an .exe program. If you're unsure, follow our
step by step tutorial below. For our example, we are using a generically named
program (program.exe)
The
one you are downloading will of course be named something else, depending on the
product you purchased.
1)
Click the link that says "Click here to download", or whatever the
link name is for the product that you purchased.
This
is an example of a download link:

2)
When you have clicked the link, a box will appear as the download starts, asking
what you would like to do:

The
choices are "Run this program from it's current location"
OR
"Save
this program to disk"
CHOOSE:
"SAVE THIS PROGRAM TO DISK", THEN CLICK ON "OK".
Doing
so will prompt the next box to appear:

3)
Now, you have to choose where you want to save the program to. We highly suggest
that you choose "DESKTOP", (as shown above).
That
allows you to find it, and open it with ease after the download is complete.
4)
When the download is complete, simply return to your Desktop, and find the icon
for the program you just downloaded. Simply double click it open, and it will
open automatically!
Do
not try to open an .exe program with any other program.
Many people try to open them with a word processor, and that does not work.
